Cimarron’s Frontier Pre-War version (1896-1940) represents arguably the most famous sixgun of the Old West, if not the best known in the entire world. These revolvers capture the look and heft of the guns carried by legendary lawmen including Wyatt Earp, Bat Masterson, “Texas” John Slaughter, the Texas Rangers, and the Arizona Rangers. The same design was favored by notorious figures such as Jesse James, Billy the Kid, Johnny Ringo, Butch Cassidy, and members of his “Hole in the Wall” gang, as well as other outlaws who operated outside the law in the Old West.
Cimarron’s 357 Magnum replica is built as an exact duplicate of an original from the company’s collection. The revolver features a traditional blue finish combined with color case hardened surfaces, complemented by one-piece walnut grips. This is a faithful reproduction of a historic design.
