The Heckler & Koch P30S is a polymer-framed semi-automatic handgun chambered in 9×19mm Parabellum, built around modern ergonomic design principles. This model features an ambidextrous safety lever on both sides of the frame and operates in conventional double-action/single-action mode with a serrated decocking button on the rear of the frame. The 3.85-inch barrel pairs with a 10-round capacity, creating a compact platform suited to precision shooting.
A Picatinny rail is molded into the front of the frame for straightforward mounting of lights, laser aimers, and other tactical accessories. The extractor functions as a loaded chamber indicator, offering both tactile and visual confirmation of a loaded round. Construction emphasizes durability: the corrosion-proof fiber-reinforced polymer frame works alongside the patented HK recoil reduction system, while the slide is machined as one piece from nitro-carburized steel.
Standard equipment includes night sights and two 10-round magazines. The grip frame accepts interchangeable backstrap inserts and lateral plates, enabling individual customization to suit different hand sizes and preferences. The P30S has earned adoption by several European police agencies, and its weight distribution and balance make it naturally pointable and reliable in accurate shooting.
