Like all X-Bolt 2 rifles, this model features a receiver design with additional bolt guidance surface for smooth, fast cycling. The bolt incorporates weight-saving spiral fluting and a new handle knob. A sporter contour barrel balances accuracy with weight savings. The muzzle is threaded M13x0.75 to accept the included radial muzzle brake, thread protector cap, or to accommodate an optional Browning Recoil Hawg Sporter muzzle brake for enhanced recoil reduction. The action is bedded and the barrel is free floated to maintain consistent accuracy. The DLX Trigger employs a three-lever design delivering zero creep, zero take-up, and zero overtravel, factory preset at 3.5 pounds and adjustable down to 3.0 pounds. The Vari-Tech stock stands out as a configurable platform that allows you to adjust comb height for precise eye-to-optics alignment. Length of pull is adjusted internally with spacers for a solid, rattle-free fit. Grip angle is customizable by switching between sporter and vertical grip modules. Rubber overmolding on the gripping surfaces ensures added security in all conditions. The 1-1/4″ thick Inflex recoil pad enhances shooting comfort when firing magnum rounds.
