Winchester Model 70 Long Range 6.8 Western Bolt Action Rifle

Since 1936, the Winchester Model 70 has set the standard by which all other bolt-action rifles are judged. The rifle features the iconic 3-position safety, which operates smoothly with your thumb while keeping the firing pin lifted away from the sear. A forged steel receiver is machined from a solid block of steel with a flat bottom profile that maximizes surface area for bedding. Two-part epoxy bedding at the front and rear anchor the action securely within the stock during firing. The Controlled Round Feed (CRF) bolt incorporates a substantial claw extractor that engages approximately one-quarter of the cartridge base, maintaining complete control from magazine to chamber through ejection. This design also permits extraction of unfired cartridges that have not yet fully chambered. The M.O.A. Trigger System represents the most precise three-lever trigger mechanism available and delivers improved fit, finish, and accuracy alongside the classic Pre-’64 controlled round feeding. A blade-type ejector provides positive case ejection. The free-floating barrel is button rifled to ensure superior accuracy and durability. This Long Range model is equipped with a Bell & Carson stock featuring aluminum bedding, matte metal finish, and a fluted barrel with muzzle brake, all chambered in 6.8 Western.
