The IWI US GAP28 Galil Ace Gen2 223 Rem/5.56 NATO 30 13 in M-LOK Free-Float Handguard represents the evolution of a legendary platform. Based on the reliable mechanics of the original Galil rifle first developed by IMI in the late 1960’s, the IWI Galil family has been continuously improved over the last 50 years, drawing inspiration from the legendary Russian AK-47 and the Finnish Valmet RK 62. This pistol features a 13″ chrome lined, cold hammer forged barrel with 1:7 rifling, an overall length of 32.145″, and weighs 7 lbs 14.8 oz, with a 30-round capacity. The design includes a reciprocating charging handle on the left side of the milled steel receiver allowing for weak hand operation, weight reduction with the use of modern polymers, M4 magazine compatibility, and a full length 2-piece Picatinny style top rail.
