Patriot Ordnance Factory’s Minuteman 5.56 NATO semi-auto rifle represents the manufacturer’s vision of a direct impingement fighting carbine built around controls and enhancements that prioritize mobility and a lightweight profile. The rifle features POF’s E2 dual-extraction technology, which employs four small channels cut into the chamber walls to allow a small amount of gas pressure to push against the neck of the spent case. A mil-spec aluminum anti-tilt buffer tube with carrier cradle extensions keeps the carrier supported by the buffer tube even when the bolt carrier is fully forward.
