Benjamin Tyler Henry invented this lever action rifle design in the 1850s, and it revolutionized firearms with its rapid fire capability and high-capacity tubular magazine—a dramatic leap forward from single-shot muskets of the era. The Original Henry Rifle faithfully reproduces that historic design, with one modernization: the caliber has been changed from the obsolete .44 Rimfire to .44-40 Winchester. Everything else honors the original specifications, and each rifle’s serial number begins with the initials BTH to commemorate its inventor.
The receiver features grooming for convenient scope mounting. The polished brass construction delivers the same tensile and yield strength as steel. The rifle includes a one-piece 24.5″ octagon barrel with tubular feed system, a genuine American fancy walnut stock fitted with a hardened brass buttplate, and traditional iron sights—a folding ladder rear sight paired with a blade front sight.
