The Iron-Framed Original Henry rifle draws inspiration from the iconic 1860 Henry, which saw production of fewer than 400 units. This steel-framed reproduction makes owning a piece of firearms history accessible today. The design adheres closely to Henry’s 1860 patterns and patents, remaining virtually identical except for modifications required to chamber .44-40 Winchester centerfire ammunition in place of the original rimfire cartridges.
The rifle features a modern steel receiver finished in striking color case hardening, paired with a matching period-correct crescent buttplate. A one-piece blued steel octagonal barrel and magazine are complemented by a fancy grade American Walnut stock. Sights include a classic folding ladder rear sight and blade front sight. The rifle retains the traditional half-cock safety hammer notch and carries no modernized manual safety.
