Magpul’s MOE SL Hand Guard brings USA-made engineering to AR15/M4 platforms with mid-length gas systems and A2 front sights. The 10.9 inch design combines modular M-LOK accessory slots with reinforced, heat-resistant polymer construction that delivers operational durability without the weight penalty or cost of aluminum rail systems. An integral riveted aluminum heat shield rounds out the protection package.
M-LOK slots positioned at two, six, and ten o’clock enable direct attachment of optional Picatinny rail sections and other M-LOK-compatible accessories, including tactical lights, slings, and grips. The extended front section and lower lip shield the user from the hot front sight assembly while maximizing useable handguard length.
Installation is straightforward—the handguard works with existing delta rings and round front handguard retaining caps paired with A2 front sight assemblies. The Mid-Length MOE SL is a direct replacement for most factory plastic, two-piece mid-length handguards and requires a ROUND front handguard retaining cap and rear spring-loaded delta ring; note that some mid-length firearms use triangular retaining caps and are not compatible. This handguard is not compatible with piston-operated AR platforms and must be used with the A2 front sight assembly, as other gas blocks are incompatible. If your A2 front sight assembly is equipped with a factory sling swivel, it must be removed.
