The Magpul Hunter Lite stock for Savage AXIS Short Action rifles is engineered as a dedicated hunting solution for shooters running short action calibers. This refinement of Magpul’s original Hunter line strips away unnecessary weight while maintaining full-featured functionality—delivering a stock that weighs 20% less with a forend nearly 25% narrower than the original design. Built with enhanced ergonomics, the Hunter Lite accommodates both right and left-hand shooters through a simple inlet insert swap on the stock. An aluminum V-bedding block with reinforced steel pillars resists compression and deformation during firing. Integral sling swivel studs are positioned on both the buttstock and forend for attachment of slings and bipods. The buttstock includes removable half-inch spacers for LOP adjustment and snap-on cheek risers featuring adjustable comb height. An enlarged trigger guard enables comfortable shooting with gloves while providing access to the ambidextrous magazine release. The magazine well incorporates stamped steel over-insertion tabs to guarantee consistent, proper magazine seating in use.
