DURAMAG Speed magazines represent a significant upgrade over standard USGI designs. These magazines have earned trust with OEM, Law Enforcement, and Military units worldwide since production began in 2011, proven through real-world use.
The 300 Blackout 20-round capacity magazine features a body constructed from 6061-T6 aluminum with type-III hard-coat anodizing. The anodizing process integrates color directly into the metal itself, unlike inferior coating methods used by other manufacturers on USGI-style magazines. This construction approach ensures these magazines remain safe for extended storage while loaded and resist the flexing and swelling common to polymer designs.
Manufacturing employs Progressive die tooling, Post and Hole design, and fully robotic welding to guarantee consistency across every unit produced. Color variation can occur between individual magazines or even within the same batch due to the chemical nature of the Type 3 Hard-coat anodizing process; quality control maintains an acceptable range for each color hue and rejects magazines outside specification.
