The XS Sights Big Dot Tritium Front sight (SG-2004-3N) is designed for Remington shotguns with bead on pedestal, featuring a Big Dot measuring 0.188 inches in diameter and green illumination from tritium. This night sight combines tritium with XS’ patent pending glow dot to upgrade a home-defense shotgun with a high-contrast front sight that absorbs light and glows in less than ideal conditions.
The orange finish is designed to offer a high-contrast sight picture when shooting in bright light conditions, and to maintain visibility in decreasing light levels by being primarily based on yellow with a hint of red. The increased surface area of the convex dot increases light absorption, intensifying the glow properties of the sight.
This front sight fits Remington shotguns where a 0.125″ to 0.140″ diameter bead sits on the pedestal and installs with any two-part epoxy, such as JB Weld. The steel construction ensures the sight is protected from drops and will hold up for years, with a blued steel surface designed to resist rusting with regular cleaning and oil.
