Designed purely for target shooting, plinking and small game hunting, the Keltec PLR-22 is chambered for the popular and economical .22LR cartridge. Based on the PLR-16 pistol and sharing many parts including grip and sights, the PLR-22 is not a simple conversion kit, but rather a standalone firearm. Built on a simple but effective straight blowback operation, the PLR-22 ensures reliability and ease of maintenance. This semi-auto pistol features an overall length of 18.5 inches with a 10.5-inch barrel and weighs just 2.8 lbs when empty.
The PLR-22 is constructed of 4140 steel and high-strength, impact-resistant Zytel for weight reduction. The rear sight is adjustable for windage and the front sight is adjustable for elevation, while an integrated Picatinny rail on top will accept a multitude of sighting options. The muzzle end of the barrel is threaded ½”-28 to accept standard attachments. A 26-round semi-transparent magazine is included and will accept magazines designed for the Atchison M-16 conversion.
