The Auto-Ordnance M1 Carbine (model AOM130) is built with an 18-inch barrel and fixed American walnut stock, chambered in .30 Caliber with a 15-round capacity. The barrel and receiver wear a black parkerized finish, while the rifle tips the scales at just 5.4 pounds. It’s equipped with a single stage trigger and blade front/adjustable rear sights. Auto-Ordnance produces these rifles using newly manufactured parts on high precision computerized machinery.
Built at Kahr’s manufacturing facility in Greeley, PA, each Auto-Ordnance M1 Carbine represents a faithful reproduction of the iconic military rifles that served American forces beginning in World War II. The rifle carries period-correct markings: Auto-Ordnance, Worcester, MA behind the rear sight; U.S. Carbine, Cal. 30 M1 on the receiver in front of the bolt; and the serial number engraved on the left side of the receiver.
At 5.4 pounds, the M1 is lighter than even the smallest “shorty” AR15 carbines. Recoil is mild and the length of pull is compact, making it accessible to shooters of various builds. 15- and 30-round surplus magazines remain plentiful and affordable, and are likely to remain so.
