Lee manufactures this 45 Long Colt taper crimp reloading die with hardened steel construction to address crimp problems that can result from inferior die design. The die features 7/8″-14 threads and is sized at 1.55 X 1.65 X 4.85 inches (1.5500 height, 1.6500 width, 4.8500 length). This single die is not carbide.
Note that these dies offer little or no advantage when used with 1986 or newer Lee dies, as the crimp angle is already a modified taper crimp. Jacketed bullets must have a crimp groove (cannelure). The shellholder is sold separately. The die ships in a plastic storage case.
