Geissele’s Airborne Charging Handle (ACH) in 5.56 was engineered to meet the specifications of an elite organization renowned for aerial insertion operations. The organization specifically requested a lower profile lever design to minimize snagging risk during tactical operations. This lower profile geometry works particularly well on rifles equipped with red dot or similar low profile optic systems as the primary sighting solution. Built as an ambidextrous design, the ACH is 3D machined from solid aircraft-grade 7075-T6 aluminum. The shortened levers feature dual contouring with gently concaved radius cuts across both vertical and horizontal planes. Checkered handling surfaces on the levers provide secure purchase even when operating with gloved hands. A reinforced fence positioned at the rear of the ACH assists in redirecting gas blow back when using short barreled and suppressed weapon systems. The ACH and all its components receive Type 3 Hard coat anodizing and are offered in Black and DDC (Desert Dirt Color).
