The EGW Remington 597 Picatinny Rail 20 MOA is machined from domestic 6061 T6 extruded aluminum with a matte black anodized finish. This mount comes standard with a bevel on both sides making it ambidextrous, and Picatinny cross slots run the full length of the rail, which gives the shooter flexibility when mounting scope rings and other accessories.
After machining, the mounts are tumbled, sand blasted, and Type II anodized for long lasting durability. The channel in the center reduces the overall mass of the mount and in many cases will not obstruct usage of factory iron sights. The entire mount and accessories, from the mounting screws and wrench down to the packaging, are made in the USA.
The mount measures 6.276″ overall length with a .4″ height from the top of the receiver to the top of the Picatinny rail and weighs 2 oz. Installation requires 20 inch lbs of torque and a drip of blue loctite, and mounting hardware including #6-48 X 1/4 screws and a T-10 bit are included. The 20 MOA mount is recommended for shooting 500-1000 yards.
