The Midwest Industries MI-BC556 Blast Can is a blast diverter engineered for 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington calibers. This muzzle device directs forward blast and is designed specifically for short-barreled rifles and AR pistols, pushing concussion downrange to improve shooter and bystander comfort without providing recoil reduction or flash hiding. The fluted body reduces weight and delivers an aggressive appearance.
Built from 6061 aluminum with a hard coat anodized matte black finish, the device combines lightweight construction with durability in a compact 3.375-inch form factor. At 3.2 ounces, it adds minimal weight to short-barrel builds without compromising performance. The design incorporates no porting at the bottom to minimize dust signature when firing from the prone position and no porting at the top to prevent flash sight obstruction through optics or sights.
