The Faxon Match Series Gunner barrel is a 7.5-inch AR-15 barrel chambered for .300 AAC Blackout, engineered for compact deployments and short-barrel applications. Its Gunner contour combines characteristics of government and pencil profiles to shift balance rearward for improved handling and reduced shooter fatigue.
This barrel is manufactured from 416R stainless steel and features 5R button rifling with a 1:5 twist rate designed to stabilize longer, heavier 300 BLK projectiles in short barrels. The 5R rifling design helps reduce jacket deformation and fouling compared to traditional sharp-shouldered rifling patterns.
The barrel is finished with a QPQ black nitride treatment applied inside and out, incorporates an 11-degree target crown, and is fully stress-relieved and air-gauge tested. It is threaded 5/8-24 at the muzzle and configured with a pistol-length gas system.
