As the newest member of Barrett’s award-winning MRAD line, the Single Mission Rifle delivers the same performance as the standard MRAD with .75 MOA accuracy in a streamlined package that shares 90% parts commonality with the conventional MRAD configuration. Unlike the interchangeable barrel system of the standard MRAD, the SMR comes factory-set in a single caliber—hence the “Single Mission Rifle” designation. The rifle features a free float barrel secured to the upper receiver with a standard barrel nut, combined with a fixed non-folding stock equipped with a vertically adjustable cheek piece and separate spacers for length of pull adjustment. These refinements result in a noticeably slimmer and lighter platform, reducing weight by nearly 2½ lbs and overall length by 1 inch compared to the standard MRAD rifle.
