Diamondback Firearms’ DB9 lightweight micro-compact pistol is made entirely in the USA. Dubbed as one of the smallest micro-compact 9mm pistols on the market, its overall length of 5.73″, overall height of 4.51″ with the pinky extension base plate, and overall width of .9″ make it the perfect carry option for a purse or pocket. Weighing a scant 13.4 ounces with an empty magazine, the DB9 Gen IV comes in at a carry weight of 16.3 ounces with seven rounds of 115-grain 9 mm ammunition onboard.
The pistol pairs a 3.10 inch stainless steel barrel with a Nickel Boron treated slide and a black polymer frame, and incorporates a ZERO-Energy striker firing system and a mechanical firing pin block. The pistol features a short reset trigger and a striker-fired double action mechanism, ensuring a steady 5.5 lb trigger pull. Three-dot, Glock-compatible sights provide quick target acquisition with a 4.51 inch sight radius. With a 6 round capacity and an all-steel captured recoil system, the DB9 Gen IV provides reliability in a size that fits snugly in a purse or pocket.
Featuring FEA (Finite Element Analysis) designed slide and barrel that is stronger than any comparable firearm, resulting in durability with less felt recoil, the slide, barrel, and internal parts are coated to resist corrosion, making this pistol a lifetime investment. The DB9 Gen IV came out of the box dry but after liberally lubricating it with Ballistol, it ran flawlessly, demonstrating the reliability expected from this American-made micro-compact platform.
