The Standard Manufacturing Single Action Army .45 Long Colt is entirely machined from solid 4140 steel with no inferior cast or metal injection molded parts. Almost every single part and the manufacturing process is done in-house at their 3 acre plant in New Britain, Connecticut. This SAR4C2 model features a 4.75-inch barrel, 6-round capacity, and frame and hammer case colored with strong blue and brown colors and finished with a lacquer coating. The revolver is true to form, and the man who designed this gun originally would immediately recognize it as his own.
This revolver is single action only and does not have a double action feature. The grip fits perfectly in the hand, especially for single-handed shooting, providing exceptional control of the firearm with no other design that improves on its ability to manage heavy recoil. The lock work is exactly the same as the Colt SAA; however, leaf springs including handspring, trigger/bolt spring and mainspring are produced by Wolff Gunsprings and are constructed of modern spring steel, lighter in pull and virtually never break. The markings are done almost exactly like a 1st gen Colt, with caliber only markings on barrel as well as the 2 line address on the 4.75″ barrel.
