An upgraded AR-15 pivoted and sprung extractor replaces the previous generation design. The carrier incorporates a standard firing pin cotter pin for simplified disassembly, and its separate carrier key—distinct from the charging surface—prevents shearing while maintaining durability under heavy use. A stronger firing pin completes the improvements to this generation.
