The Geissele Automatics Super Modular MK4 AR-15 Handguard features 13.5 inches of M-LOK slots and a desert dirt anodized finish. Designed as an ultra light weight rail system for the M4 Carbine and all mil-spec AR-15 variants, this handguard leverages high strength 7000-series aluminum construction with an emphasis on weight reduction.
The Geissele SMR MK4 features a 2.25″ barrel nut design that provides 125% more receiver contact area than standard barrel nuts, reducing flex and maintaining zero for mounted accessories. The 13.5″ rail incorporates integrated forward Picatinny sections with M-LOK slots along the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions, as well as the 45-degree faces. Strategic venting maintains structural rigidity while reducing weight, and the 1.35″ internal diameter accommodates most suppressors, while the continuous top rail provides consistent optic mounting.
The handguard weighs 11.8 oz and features a Type 3 Hardcoat Anodized finish on 6061-T6 Aluminum construction, with outer dimensions of 2.11″ diameter and 2.4″ height. The Desert Dirt Color (DDC) finish varies between production batches due to the Type III hardcoat anodizing process, ranging from golden to earth tones.
