Canik is a Turkish gunmaker with a background in aerospace manufacturing, and the Mete MC9LS represents their latest innovation in compact, carry-ready pistols. This striker-fired pistol elevates the MC9 platform by offering increased capacity, extended grip surface area, and an increased sight radius. This California-compliant version features a 3.64″ steel barrel, polymer frame, and steel slide in Black and Flat Dark Earth finish, with a 10-round capacity designed specifically to meet state regulations.
Serrations at the front and rear of the slide make manipulations simple, and rough texturing on the sides, front, and back of the grip frame anchor the gun well in hand. The Mete MC9LS has a set of dovetailed sights, with a bright white dot at the front and a blacked-out, squared-off rear sight. A cover plate at the rear of the slide, just forward of the rear sight, protects a milled slot sized for all Shield RMSc red-dot sights, offering modern optics compatibility.
The serrated trigger shoe features a pivoting blade safety with no manual safety. The slide-stop lever is ambidextrous with a lengthened, serrated face for easy activation, and a reversible magazine release supports both right- and left-handed shooters. This compact and reliable striker-fired pistol ships with two magazines and all the essentials for immediate carry.
