San Tan Tactical’s STT-15L has been designed for those who participate in 3-gun, hunting, or any other shooting activity where weight is a concern. The STT-15L Lower weighs 7.7 oz and accepts all Mil-Spec AR-15/M16 components and lower parts kits, excluding the included ambidextrous controls. The STT-15L Upper weighs 6.9 oz and works with all Mil-Spec AR-15/M16 components including all known handguard options currently available. Each receiver set is precisely machined out of a solid block of 7075-T6 aluminum on state-of-the-art CNC machinery.
The design incorporates lightening cuts to reduce weight and an enlarged magazine well and trigger guard. The receivers feature a huge 1.38″ integrally machined magazine well flare, San Tan Tactical Truss Pockets for increased structural rigidity, bullet pictogram safety selector markings, set screw trigger creep adjustment, set screw upper take down tension adjustment, a shooter-ready finger rest, an oversized winter trigger guard perfect for gloved hands, and ultra-grip texture on all controls. The upper receiver comes fully assembled with a dust cover, eliminating the forward assist to further improve weight savings.
The STT-15L Pillar Lower/Upper Receiver Set is anodized olive drab green with a 7075 billet construction, featuring an ambidextrous bolt release and bullet pictogram safety selector markings. The full suite of ambidextrous controls comes standard on all Pillar AMBI receiver sets and lowers and allows for standard manual of arms from both right- and left-handed operation of the weapon. The receiver is finished in Mil-Spec MIL-A-8625 Type III Class II hard anodizing. The pillar is compatible with all STANAG pattern M16/AR15 magazines.
