EGW’s Winchester Model 70 STD/LA Picatinny Rail mount is specifically designed for the Winchester Model 70 pre-64 standard action and post-64 long action with 20 MOA cant. Machined from 6061-T6 extruded aluminum and finished in matte black, this mount features a center spread of 3.805″ and overall length of 7.064″. This picatinny-style base is compatible with picatinny or weaver scope rings, giving shooters flexibility in ring selection and positioning.
Picatinny cross slots run the full length of the rail, providing flexibility when mounting scope rings and other accessories. The channel in the center reduces the overall mass of the mount and, in many cases, will not obstruct usage of factory iron sights. After machining, the mounts are tumbled, sand blasted, and Type II anodized for long lasting durability.
The 20 MOA cant is ideal for shooting 500-1000 yards, with EGW recommending zeroing at 200 yards. Installation requires 20 inch lbs of torque and a drip of blue loctite (sold separately). The entire mount and accessories—from mounting screws and wrench to packaging—are made in the USA.
