This 13-inch threaded-barrel pistol configuration pairs a match cold-hammer-forged medium-contour barrel with a short-stroke gas piston operating system and ambidextrous controls for modern range and precision use.
At its core, the MR762 A4 features HK’s proprietary short-stroke gas piston system, offering cleaner operation and greater reliability under harsh conditions, with a cold hammer-forged 13-inch barrel featuring a 1-in-11-inch twist and threaded 5/8×24 for suppressors or muzzle devices. Its short-stroke gas piston operating system does not impart hot carbon fouling back into the action, allowing the weapon to run longer with less maintenance, and its adjustable gas regulator allows the operator to tune the action specifically for suppressed or unsuppressed operation, while fully ambidextrous controls, lighter weight and a slimmer profile make the new A4 easier to operate, manipulate and employ.
