The LaserMax LMS-G5-17 is a guide rod laser built specifically for Glock 17 Gen 5 pistols. It functions as the internal guide rod itself, positioning a pulsating red laser as close to the bore as possible to achieve a close point of aim/point of impact relationship. The system meets or exceeds both Mil-Spec and Homeland Security durability test standards, having passed drop tests, blowing sand, temperature and humidity extremes, salt water, fog, deep water immersion, and 20,000+ rounds live fire testing.
Installation requires no gunsmithing. The laser arrives factory aligned for center-of-mass accuracy at 20 yards and maintains that zero even after battery changes, eliminating the need for realignment. An ambidextrous on/off switch integrated into the custom take-down lever allows deliberate activation, while an automatic 10-minute time-out protects against battery drain. The internal design preserves full grip and holster compatibility.
The LaserMax operates on a 393 battery and delivers 5 mW of output at a 635 nm wavelength with an effective range of 20 yards. The matte finish aluminum construction is user programmable for either pulse or steady beam operation.
