Hornady Match 6.5 PRC 147 Grain ELD Match ammunition delivers precision target shooting in a 20-round box. ELD Match (Extremely Low Drag Match) bullets are technologically advanced, enhanced accuracy target bullets featuring Heat Shield tips with the PERFECT MEPLAT combined with design features that deliver highest-in-class ballistic coefficients, superior accuracy and extreme consistency from bullet to bullet, lot to lot. The Heat Shield tip is immune to the effects of aerodynamic heating and retains its shape to provide a perfect meplat that is always the same shape, while the patented DVRT (Drag Variability Reduction Technology) increases bullet drag uniformity for less dispersion and smaller groups at longer ranges.
The 6.5 PRC fits in short or medium actions with a standard magnum bolt face (.532″), with efficient case geometry featuring a long cartridge case neck and 30 degree cartridge case shoulder. Utilizing moderate powder charges that result in repeatable accuracy, low recoil and reasonable barrel life, the 6.5 PRC produces high velocities for target shooting with performance well beyond 1000 yards. Specifications include a muzzle velocity of 2910 FPS from a 24″ barrel, ballistic coefficients of .697 (G1) and .351 (G7), and a sectional density of .301.
