Henry Single Shot 45-70 Government Rifle

Henry’s centerfire single-shot rifle in 45-70 Government combines a steel frame with a matte finish. The 22″ round barrel is topped with adjustable buckhorn and brass bead sights, and the receiver is drilled and tapped for optional scope mounting. A walnut stock with curved pistol grip wrist and solid rubber recoil pad rounds out the build. The action eschews an external manual safety in favor of a rebounding hammer mechanism that prevents contact with the firing pin unless the trigger is deliberately pressed, paired with an interlock system that prevents barrel opening when the hammer is cocked and blocks barrel closing if the hammer is cocked while the barrel is open.
