The Heckler & Koch VP9A1 series features improved ergonomics, a better trigger, and more magazine options. The VP9A1 K marks a significant milestone as the first true compact model in the VP9 series, with a 4.09-inch barrel and a mid-length grip designed for a 15-round capacity using two included 15-round magazines. The A1 includes usability and shootability enhancements featuring an improved Nickel-Teflon coated trigger bar, universal ergonomic grip with expanded selection of modular grip panels that provide length of pull adjustment, enhanced ambidextrous controls, a factory-flared magwell, and additional slide serrations.
Built with a cold hammer-forged steel barrel, an optic-ready serrated steel slide and a polymer frame with Picatinny rail, Tritium front and serrated rear sights complete the design. The Universal Ergonomic Grip uses interchangeable side and back panels, allowing the grip to be customized in 45 possible configurations that includes length-of-pull adjustment. With a 4-inch barrel and a shorter frame, the “K” is a great concealed carry option between typical full-sized and subcompact pistols.
The polymer frame includes a universal light rail for mounting accessories, and the 60-degree grip angle ensures a natural point of aim—a hallmark of H&K’s ergonomic philosophy. The VP9A1 is manufactured in Germany and imported to HK-US, retaining the same reliable, time-proven mechanical design. Purpose-built for duty and defensive applications, this striker-fired pistol delivers German engineering and proven reliability in a compact, tactically-oriented platform.
