The Ruger Hawkeye Hunter is built for the modern big-game hunter, featuring a stainless-steel action and factory-threaded barrel paired with a traditional American walnut stock. Chambered in .204 Ruger with a 24″ satin stainless barrel, this bolt-action rifle delivers precision and reliability for varmint and small-game hunting. The non-rotating, Mauser-type controlled round feed extractor is among the most positive case extraction systems ever invented, featuring a fixed blade-type ejector that positively ejects empty cases as the bolt is moved fully rearward.
The free-float, cold hammer-forged stainless steel barrel features 5R rifling at minimum bore and groove dimensions for optimal accuracy potential. A 20 MOA Picatinny rail is secured with four #8-40 screws atop the solid-steel receiver for increased long-range elevation capabilities. The hinged, solid-steel floorplate allows for easy unloading without chambering each cartridge and features an engraved Ruger logo with a patented latch that is flush with the trigger guard to avoid accidental dumping of cartridges.
The American walnut stock combines wrap-around checkering on the grip and forend with ergonomically pleasing rounded contours along the barrel and on the pistol grip. With a 5-round capacity, 1:12″ twist rate, and 1/2″-28 thread pattern for suppressor or muzzle device compatibility, the Hawkeye Hunter is configured for serious shooters who demand a rifle built to exacting standards.
