The Area 419 CZ455 1913 Improved Scope Rail is a 15 MOA scope base designed for the CZ455’s 11mm dovetail. Area 419 engineered this solution to address the common problem of scope bases that shift over time. Built from a single piece of 7075 aluminum and machined in-house using an Area 419 Haas VF4SS 4-axis machining center, the rail slides onto the dovetail and clamps down with consistent force across its entire length—strong enough to keep your CZ455 secure. A recoil lug at the rear provides a mechanical stop for added security.
The rail comes Type III black hardcoat anodized and includes the necessary 2.5mm wrench for torquing the clamp screws. Recommended torque specification is 22 in/lb (2.5 NM). The design incorporates 30 MOA of cant, suited for shooters pushing 22LR ammunition out to 300+ yards. Extended front rail real estate allows you to position your optic forward, which is particularly useful with higher-powered scopes on the smaller stocks typical of rimfire rifles. The rail adds approximately 1/2″ of height to the dovetail; using lower-height rings or mounts will help maintain proper over-bore height and cheek weld without needing a riser.
Area 419 integrated a level into the base, with material flared in that area to provide optimal viewing in the prone position with minimal adjustment needed. Current production rails feature a solid design with no opening down the middle. These rails are also compatible with the CZ 452, excluding the “American” model, which has a differently-sized dovetail.
