Sierra Varminter 22 Caliber 50 Grain Spitzer bullets deliver rapid expansion and instant kills on larger varmints and small game. These rounds feature thin jackets that promote expansion while maintaining sufficient strength for firing at the highest muzzle velocities appropriate to their intended cartridges. Varminter bullets are available in hollow point (HP), spitzer pointed flat base (SPT), and semi-pointed (SMP) configurations. Bullets designated as Blitz are engineered for medium velocity performance under 3600 fps. Hornet bullets are designed to expand reliably in the 2500 to 2800 fps velocity range, though they can also be loaded in cartridges that generate muzzle velocities up to 3500 fps.
