About Weatherby
Weatherby was founded in 1945 by Roy Weatherby and is today headquartered in Sheridan, Wyoming. Roy Weatherby built his company around a simple philosophy: more velocity produces flatter trajectories, deeper penetration, and cleaner kills — and to deliver that velocity he developed a family of proprietary magnum cartridges that remain among the most powerful commercially available hunting rounds in the world. The Mark V bolt action, with its distinctive nine-lug design and smooth action, and the more accessible Vanguard series have together made Weatherby one of the most respected names in American big-game hunting for over seven decades.
