The Forster Ultra Micrometer Seater Die for 260 Remington combines all the essential features of the Bench Rest Seater Die with an ultra-accurate micrometer adjustment mechanism for precise bullet seating depth control. Seating depth adjusts in .001″ or .0005″ increments, with white hash marks on the dial to help you dial in your target seating depth. The non-crimping bullet seating die holds bullet and case in perfect alignment during the seating process.
Forster’s caliber-specific Die Chamber is designed to support the entire outside diameter of the sized case, rather than only the bullet and case neck as most competing products do by supporting just the case rim. The non-crimping design delivers accuracy, consistency, and perfect alignment. Seating stems supplied with the standard seaters provide ample clearance to seat any bullet off the ogive rather than the tip, making them fully compatible with special bullet requirements such as very low drag (VLD) bullets.
The Ultra Seater Die removes much of the trial and error traditionally involved in producing accurate loaded rounds. After seating your bullet close to desired depth and measuring it, simply adjust the micrometer stem to the desired depth and your cartridge will be exactly the length needed. Fine tuning of your rounds to bring them out close to the lands of your rifling is straightforward with the Ultra micrometer die.
