The Faxon Integral® Series 16″ Pencil A2 5.56 NATO barrel combines the handling characteristics of a 14.5″ barrel with the legal compliance of a 16″ overall length, eliminating the need for pin-and-weld work. An integrally machined slim flash hider keeps weight minimal while delivering effective flash reduction and maintaining perfect concentricity. Manufactured in-house from 4150 CMV steel and finished in black nitride, the Pencil profile repositions weight toward the rear for superior handling. This barrel is built with a 1:8 twist and mid-length gas system, providing responsive performance across standard ammunition loads.
The Pencil profile represents Faxon’s lightest contour option, optimizing balance and enabling quick target transitions. The integral slim A2 flash hider is machined directly into the barrel, ensuring perfect alignment and a clean, lightweight front end. With a 14.5″ rifled section extended by the integral device, this barrel achieves a compliant 16″ overall length without pin and weld.
