Built in collaboration with Q for the 8.6 Blackout cartridge, this Faxon RemAge® 16″ bolt action barrel is purpose-engineered rather than adapted from an existing design. The 1:3 twist stabilizes long, heavy 8.6 BLK projectiles and maximizes rotational energy for improved terminal performance.
The barrel is machined from 416-R stainless steel at Faxon’s Cincinnati facility. Each barrel undergoes full stress relief, air-gauge testing, magnetic particle inspection, and receives a durable QPQ salt bath nitride treatment inside and out. The RemAge® system allows headspace adjustment without requiring a lathe.
Threading is M18x1.5 with a tapered shoulder for suppressor compatibility. Included with your barrel are a Thread Protector, Taper Adapter, and Faxon RemAge® Style Barrel Nut. Every Faxon barrel is individually verified for headspace using precision custom hardened gauges and comes with the Faxon Lifetime Guarantee. Made in USA.
