The Faxon Integral® 16″ Light Taper 9mm barrel is purpose-built for AR-9 builders seeking the handling characteristics of a short barrel while maintaining a 16″ overall length. An integral slim flash hider is machined directly into the barrel blank, guaranteeing perfect concentricity and eliminating the need for pin-and-weld installation. The barrel features a light taper pistol-caliber profile, 4150 CMV steel construction, and a QPQ nitride finish applied inside and out.
Button-rifled with a 1:10 twist, the barrel is stress relieved and air-gauge tested to ensure consistent long-term performance. Feed ramps are compatible with both Glock-pattern and Colt-pattern systems, providing flexibility in component selection. Optimized for straight blowback operation, this barrel requires no gas system; reliability and recoil characteristics are controlled through buffer weight and spring selection. It is designed for standard AR-15 upper receivers configured for 9mm.
