The Superlative Arms AR-15 .625in Clamp On Adjustable Piston System (SABO-PS-RFD-R625CM) is engineered with a rifle length operating rod, right-hand configuration, full auto capability, dark DLC carrier, and Melonite/QPQ gas block finish. This patented “Bleed Off” gas piston system adjusts gas flow by bleeding gas out of the block rather than restricting flow like conventional adjustable blocks.
Pressure within the block is reduced to only what’s needed to drive the bolt carrier, while excess gas and pressure bleed out, enabling the system to run cooler and cleaner with reduced felt recoil. The patented adjustment detent sits outside the block to prevent contamination, and the gas adjustment screw does not restrict gas flow, which prevents erosion or seizing of the screw and eliminates loss of detent from carbon buildup.
A safety mechanism prevents unintentional removal of the adjustment screw. When running SBRs and/or suppressors, the bleed-off port exhausts excessive pressure out of the block to reduce blowback.
