Superlative Arms’ patented “Bleed Off” gas piston system for the AR15 platform adjusts gas flow by bleeding gas out of the block rather than restricting it like conventional adjustable designs. The SABO-PS-RFD-R625SM model incorporates a solid .625″ gas block with set-screw mounting, configured specifically for rifle-length operation on right-hand AR-15 platforms. The system reduces pressure to only what is necessary to drive the bolt carrier, with excess gas bled out of the block to enable cooler, cleaner operation.
The gas block is machined from 416 stainless steel with Melonite finish for long-term durability. The one-piece carrier is crafted from 8620 steel and finished with DLC (Diamond-like Carbon) coating to ensure smooth and reliable performance. The design features 30 adjustment settings to dial in the optimal gas curve while maintaining reliability and reducing felt recoil. Since the adjustment screw sits outside the block, carbon buildup cannot seize it, and high pressures cannot erode it.
The bleed-off port exhausts excessive pressure when running SBRs and suppressors, reducing bolt carrier blow back. Standing 1.259″ in height, the low-profile design fits under most handguards. An included 6″ hex key allows field adjustments without removing the handguard. This conversion kit delivers enhanced gas regulation and reliability for serious AR-15 builders and operators.
