The Area 419 Hellfire Self-Timing Muzzle Brake is engineered for 6.5mm calibers with 5/8-24 threading and a Black Nitride finish. This brake is suitable for any bullet caliber up to and including 0.264 (6.5mm), such as 257 Magnums. The proprietary port design controls muzzle rise without the use of top porting and is constructed from heat-treated 17-4PH Stainless Steel with Black Nitride finish.
Independent testing demonstrated that the Hellfire delivered 52% recoil reduction on a 6.5 Creedmoor test rifle, approximately 4% more than some of the most popular brakes on the market. The slightly rearward-facing ports are designed to balance recoil reduction and shooter comfort.
Installation requires no tools—simply use the round knurled nut to time the brake. The self-timing design ensures excellent return to zero, so removal and re-installation will not require a zero change. The patented self-timing brake system was engineered from the ground up to be extremely effective, easier to install, and much more versatile than competing designs. Manufactured on state-of-the-art CNC machines in Northwest Ohio, the brake assembly features a 1″ OD brake body and adds approximately 2.6″ from the thread shoulder.
