The Area 419 ZERO Press 1-1/4″ turret delivers 8 stations, all with 1-1/4″ thread, allowing handloaders to mount more large-format dies on a single turret head. Constructed from American billet aluminum and stainless steel, this press incorporates 14 bearings, including a self-lubricating linear sleeve bearing that guides the precision-ground 1.25″ ram with less than 0.0006″ of diametric clearance. Area 419 launched R&D in late 2019 to develop the precision reloading press, and the ZERO represents their commitment to ZERO tolerance reloading with ZERO friction.
A key advantage is the ability to set up dies and leave them in place—simply rotate or swap your turret to access another die. By using extra turrets, you can establish setups for virtually unlimited calibers on the ZERO, with turret changes requiring only about 20 seconds. Turret replacement repeats to under 0.001″ accuracy. Area 419 has integrated a decapping and primer-catch system directly into the press body, eliminating surgical hoses and jars in favor of a simple slide-out tray for streamlined operation.
Every press undergoes hand measurement and fitting, with the ram and bearing matched to deliver the most precise ram stroke available. The linkage system rides on bearings and custom hardware with near-ZERO slop, and the oversized ram paired with the steel arm and ZERO-friction knob operates unlike conventional presses. The press features a 4.75-inch opening that accepts standard 7/8″ dies and standard shellholders, accommodating cases up to 338 Lapua Magnum.
