The patented Arisaka Defense Indexer represents the brand’s commitment to low-profile, minimal control accessories. Developed in response to end-user requests, it brings M-LOK compatibility to their Finger Stop design originally made for Picatinny rails. The accessory features a slim front-to-back profile with a slight radius across both faces.
The Indexer is versatile in application, but its primary design intent is positioning between two fingers—typically the index and middle finger. This forward placement on the handguard means it stays clear during transitions to kneeling or prone positions, where shooters naturally move their support hand rearward. Mounted this way, the Indexer enhances rifle control and shouldering consistency. The wider, flatter profile also performs effectively as a hand stop or barricade stop, and serves as a forward limit to prevent fingers from slipping off shorter handguards onto a hot barrel or suppressor.
