Barnes engineered the LRX to leverage modern rifle accuracy capabilities and long-range optical systems. The LRX’s extended profile and boattail design deliver match-grade accuracy at distance, achieving a 0.546 ballistic coefficient and requiring a 1:10″ twist rate or faster.
This 30 caliber .308 diameter load carries a 200 grain weight and is constructed from all-copper material. Upon impact, the LRX opens into four razor-sharp petals that cut a wide wound channel and shed energy throughout the cavity. High weight retention maintains bullet momentum for maximum tissue, bone, and vital organ destruction, enabling effective and humane performance at close and extended distances. Doppler radar technology informed the bullet’s profile optimization to minimize drag and maximize accuracy at extreme range.
The polymer tip raises ballistic coefficient and triggers rapid expansion. Each box contains 50 solid copper bullets with polymer tip and cannelure for consistent performance. The Barnes LRX 200 grain is suited for long-range hunters and precision shooters pursuing game at extended range.
