Barnes’ TSX (Triple-Shock X) Bullet features all-copper construction, no fragmentation, 28% deeper penetration than lead core bullets and maximum weight retention. These .338 caliber bullets weigh 225 grains and are provided flat base in a box of 50. With a ballistic coefficient of 0.386 and sectional density of 0.281, they deliver consistent performance for precision rifle applications.
The TSX bullet features multiple, precisely engineered rings cut into the bullet shank, acting as relief valves while the bullet travels down the bore which results in improved accuracy, reduced pressures (for higher velocity loads) and less copper fouling. Introduced in 2003, the TSX has become Barnes’ most popular hunting bullet. These all-copper bullets deliver the added benefits of improved accuracy, reduced barrel fouling and increased velocity.
