Engineered for precision and modularity, the Barrett MRAD SMR delivers the same dependable performance as the award-winning MRAD line in a streamlined platform. The Single Mission Rifle (SMR) achieves .75 MOA accuracy while maintaining 90% parts commonality with the standard MRAD—the key difference being that the SMR is factory-set in a single caliber, 338 Lapua Magnum, rather than offering interchangeable barrel capability.
The SMR’s free float barrel is secured to the upper receiver via a standard barrel nut, and the non-folding stock features a vertically adjustable cheek piece with separate spacers for length of pull customization. These refinements result in a noticeably lighter and more compact rifle, shedding approximately 2½ lbs. and 1 inch compared to the standard MRAD.
