The A400 Upland is the very first Beretta shotgun featuring an innovative wood stock with the Kick-Off Plus technology, that reduces recoil up to 50%. It features an elegantly engraved nickel plated receiver with game scene engraving, classic Beretta blue barrel, and select walnut stock with Xtra Grain finish and integral Kick Off Mega recoil dampener.
The A400’s action features a rotating bolt, and a self-cleaning piston to ensure the shotgun operates in all conditions and is low in maintenance. Starting with Beretta’s proprietary Steelium barrel, you get the world’s best barrel technology with a 3″ chamber, capable of operating flawlessly with any load from 2-3/4″ light target to powerful 3″ game dropping loads. Three flush-fitting Optimachoke HP chokes (Cylinder, Modified and Full) are included. The barrel is topped with a 6mm vent rib and red fiber-optic front sight.
The walnut stock is capped with a ½”-thick Extralight recoil pad with matte finish and laser checkering on both sides of the palm swell, and the forend is also walnut and features checkering on all sides. The reversible crossbolt safety sits at the front of the trigger group. The A400 uses Beretta’s B-Link operating system that cycles super-fast—capable of shooting 4 shots in less than 1 second.
