The Bergara Premier Highlander 6.5 Creedmoor features the Bergara Premier Action, built on a two-lug system with a separate floating bolt head that maintains consistent contact with the action’s lug abutments. The cone-shaped bolt nose facilitates smooth cartridge feeding, while a spring-loaded sliding plate extractor is positioned at the front of the lower locking lug. The one-piece bolt body is constructed from stainless steel and incorporates a pad at the rear to accommodate the threaded-in bolt handle. The bolt head, non-rotating gas shield, bolt handle, and bolt shroud are all fully Nitrided for extreme durability and self-lubricating properties. A two-position safety integrates with the trigger assembly, which uses TriggerTech Frictionless Release Technology. This design allows the bolt handle to remain unlocked in the closed position, enabling you to unload the rifle while it remains in the safe position.
